after getting married we decide to have a family, so I sold the Z. By next week, I realized my mistake and tried to buy it back from the new owner unsuccessfully (6 times over a year). That lead me to a two year Z hunt where I would daily search through the local Autotrader, CanadTrader and Buy & Sell for a mint Z.
My lucky day finally arrived! I saw a new ad placed for a 94TT with 52K kms (~30K miles) up for sale at a local Acurra dealership go up that evening. After dropping my wife to work, I went to the downtown dealership before they opened and checked out the Z. It looked MINT!! Exactly what I was looking for and I went back that afternoon to take it for a test drive and bought it on the spot (subject to a inspection). Turns out that while I was finalizing the deal, there were two other people waiting to take the Z out for a test drive.
I really lucked out there. Turns out my cousins wife worked at the dealership and told me that the Z was trader in by a retired lawyer for a $105K Porshe convertable :) She also told me that they recieved many calls for over a week for the ad. Another funny thing was the guy waiting to take it for a test drive emailed me the following week and tried to buy the Z off me fo $3K more.
